Motion A - Rødovre

3rd game against Rødovre this season. Go Falcons!

FIRST PERIOD

Tom gets a clever little backhand pass from Marc and is wide open during the first few minutes. Shot it just over the goal.

Rødovre goal: #91 gets the open net opportunity after a shot from right side went on the nearside post and out in front of goal. Completely open and nothing for Elliot to do. Score: 0 - 1.

Rødovre's #20, one of their better players, gave us problems early on. Takes the puck from Janek at center ice, makes an incredible dragging deke to go through Jon and goes for a backhand shot that Elliot stops.

Falcons goal: Big chance for us! Marc gets the puck on the boards at the right side and passes it in towards Tom who's again left open. He slices the shot over to Janek out of pure generosity, who's also open and slices it as well to empathize with Tom. Picks the puck up again behind the goal, wraps it around and shoots it in with the backhand. What a lad! Score: 1 - 1.

Faceoff at Rødovre's end. Lui wins it and sends it out to Bjarne. He passes it to Bryn immediately and Bryn fires it in the goalie's face who saves it and looks around confused.

Great chance for us as Marc takes advantage of a poor pass and creates a 2-on-1 situation with Janek at his side. Passes it to Janek at the right moment and their goalie makes another fine save. Marc is really pressuring their defense and benefitting from it!

2nd line is getting a lot of good chances now. Rolands sends it towards the net and Daniel gets the rebound and hits the left post!

Right after that attack, their #22 gets the puck and flies towards the net. Elliot makes a triple save and ices the puck!

2-on-2 situation with Tom carrying the puck. Passes it perfectly behind himself to a trailing Marc who makes a shot look like a pass (completely on purpose, of course) to Janek. Hits the outer side of the post. Great chance once again from the 1st line.

Thor, the 2nd #88 on our squad, gets the puck at the center of their zone and has time to shoot. Decides to shoot it directly at their goalie for maximim save probability.

After some beautiful interceptions by Slawomir, one of their players receives a pass just at the right side of our goal. He's completely open and Elliot has to slide all the way over while the guys's shooting at an open goal. One of the saves of the season so far as Elliot grabs the puck out of thin air while diving backwards! Huge stomp concert going on at the bench! Just as good on the replay as it was to see live.

Falcons goal: Bryn shoots from the blue line. Hits the goalie who fluffs it and sends it out towards Thor. The puck is hit with a pragmatic rather than elegant backhand shot and lays into the net behind the late glove. Score: 2 - 1.

SECOND PERIOD

Huge chance for us! Bryn wins it back at their end, passes it to Lui who's wide open in front of the net. He gets a nice, powerful shot off that gets saved.

Falcons goal: After a faceoff a our end, they fuck up the D to D pass and Marc is away. He completely ices the goalie and takes it to the backhand and in the goal. Score: 3 - 1.

Another big chance stemming from Marc's hustle! He gets a good pass from Janek at their blue line, goes to the corner and passes it back to Janek who almost gets it to go in multiple times.

Falcons goal: Straight after, Janek takes the puck at their blue line after Jon pressured their defenders. He skates around the defender, goes across goal and shoots it into the lower right side of goal. Amazing play all around from our team! Score: 4 - 1.

Huge chance! Great pass from Bryn in our zone to Daniel waiting at the blue line. He waits and then shoots. The rebound goes out to Thor, who comes flying in and shoots - but too low unfortunately. Their goalie makes a good save with his left pad.

Nice save by Elliot as their #32, the "rundetrunte" of the Motion league, fires a shot aimed at the top right corner. At some point it hits Elliot in the face and fucks up his mask.

Under a lot of pressure here for quite some time but we're running hard to defend and get back at them. Game is going back and forth a lot.

Tom almost pokes it in after a snappy shot from Janek! Both Tom and Marc get an opportunity right after.

Rødovre goal: Their #32 takes it from their zone immediately after our chances, dekes past Marc and Bryn and fires it left of Elliot. Score: 4 - 2.

Rødovre goal: After an attempt at a breakaway, their #22, previously known as "Fars dreng", skates down our left side and gets lucky with a shot that goes between Elliot's legs. We get overrun once again. Score: 4 - 3.

Really good effort from us during penalty kill! We survive without conceding. Elliot gets a nice catch right after.

Rødovre goal: A lost faceoff in our end results in a shooting opportunity to their defender. It gets deflected nicely by their #34 up into the top of the net. Score: 4 - 4.

THIRD PERIOD

Rødovre goal: We start off fine, but #32 once again gets the puck at their blue line, skates up the ice while breaking our lines and shoots it forcefully into the left side of the goal. Looking back at this game, the vast majority of their chances come from him and we don't stop him early enough. Still, a very even game which we can win. Score: 4 - 5.

Jan and Bryn almost gets it to go!

Elliot reads #32 like a book as he shoots it between his legs! Ice cold as usual. Later on, Rihards does a great job at containing him. That leads to a good opportunity for Tom.

Nice read by Slawomir, intercepting their #34. That leads to a 2-on-2 opportunity where Thor shoots and is kept out by their goalie. The double bluff of shooting directly at the goalie doesn't work this time either.

Tom is fighting like crazy and really pressuring their defense while we're a man down from flooding the ice. Gets us multiple chances. Unfortunately, we fuck up again with our switches and are now 3 players on ice. Daniel's energy is keeping us in the game at this point! Amazingly clutch!

Rødovre goal: #32 once again gets way too much space. He's not hassled as he's lining up for a shot that ultimately goes in since Elliot's vision is blocked by another player. This one's on all skaters - we can't give players like that space. Score: 4 - 6.

Bryn leads the way by shutting down opponents multiple times and dropping off a good pass to Daniel.

Rihards makes an important block and right after completely saves us by poking it away from a player that was open and just about to shoot. Super timing - great defensive plays!

We call a timeout with 2 minutes to go and pull Elliot. It's 6-on-5 now. Hail mary! And it almost pays off! Attempts by Janek and Tom. Daniel's working his ass off.

Rødovre goal: Their #34 gets the puck. He's alone on an empty goal. Score: 4 - 7.
